On April 15–16 (lunch to lunch), you are invited to a two-day Smart Communities Tour in Stockholm/Nacka, exploring how the twin transition – digital and green – can accelerate smarter and more sustainable urban development.
On April 15, we join electriCITY’s Innovation Day, co-organised with UTTC – Urban Twin Transition Centre, led by the Swedish Internet Foundation (Internetstiftelsen). Together with municipalities, companies, researchers and innovation actors, we explore real cases, digital enablers and collaborative models driving the twin transition in cities and districts. As co-organisers, BJØRK contributes to the programme and bring a Nordic municipal perspective into the dialogue.
On April 16, we continue with our dedicated Smart Communities Tour programme, focusing on how Nacka municipality works strategically with digitalisation, IoT and collaboration to accelerate sustainable urban development.
Through site-based learning, peer exchange and concrete cases, participants gain practical insights into how to move from strategy to implementation – and how digital tools can support measurable climate impact, resource efficiency and citizen engagement.
Gathering top managers and decision-makers from Nordic municipalities, we aim to provide inspiration, practical knowledge and a trusted peer network that will make your journey towards smart, sustainable urban development both faster and more impactful.
Together, we explore success factors behind some of the most forward-looking digitalisation and sustainability initiatives shaping the public sector today.
The event is free of charge for registered and confirmed participants representing the public sector. Confirmed participants arrange their own travel and accommodation at their own expense.
This is the second time that the Smart Communities Tour visits Stockholm. In 2026, our destinations are
Nordic Edge Expo (Stavanger, 5-6 May)
e-Estonia (Digital Public Sector, Tallinn, mid Sep)
Smart City Expo World Congress (Barcelona, 4-6 Nov)
The Smart Communities Tour is arranged by BJØRK Innovation in collaboration with AugmentCity, ElectriCITY, Enterprise Estonia, Nordic Edge, Osloregionen, Fyrbodal, Internetstiftelsen and Äventyret.

It happened again! I've had the privilege to go to both Ålesund, Hammarby Sjöstad in Stockholm and Tallinn in the first round of the Smart Communities Tour. Smart cities and innovation in the public sector. Highly impactful and inspiring!
